What it does

The whole laboratory, from booking to dispatch, on one patient record.

Veona Labs is a full LIS and LIMS built into the same platform as the chart, billing, and stock. Run every specimen through a barcoded lifecycle, interface your analyzers both ways, hold quality control to accreditation standard, and release results that clinicians and referring providers see instantly.

The full sample lifecycle, barcoded

Book, accession, barcode, batch, pool, and dispatch every specimen on one record. Ask-at-order-entry prompts and consent are captured up front, and chain of custody is logged at every hand-off.

Booking and barcoded accessioning
Batching and sample pooling
Ask-at-order-entry and consent
Dispatch and chain-of-custody audit

Two-way analyzer and instrument interfacing

Connect hematology, chemistry, and other analyzers across vendors. Orders flow down to the instrument and results flow back automatically, with interfacing priced per integration rather than per machine.

Bidirectional order and result flow
Multi-vendor instrument support
Priced per integration
No manual transcription

Results, trends, and amendable reports per modality

Each modality has its own validated report format. Review delta checks against prior results, plot trends over time, and search across results with boolean queries. Reports stay amendable with a full revision trail.

Full revision history

Quality control held to accreditation standard

Run and document QC with full audit trails that map to ISO 15189 and local accreditation. Track turnaround time end to end, flag critical results, and approve or review remotely when a senior pathologist is off site.

Built for reference labs and provider networks

Take samples from referring clinics, bill them on credit, and pay commissions through provider portals. Run multiple locations and reference-lab work from a single dashboard, with home collection scheduled and routed to phlebotomists.

Barcoded sample intake from the first booking onward.

Batching and pooling

Group and pool specimens for efficient runs.

Ask-at-order-entry

Capture AOE answers and consent at order time.

Delta checks and trends

Compare against priors and plot results over time.

Boolean search

How it works

From order to result, end to end.

Order and collect

Tests are ordered from the chart or a referring provider. Samples are collected, with home collection routed to a phlebotomist.

Accession and batch

Specimens are barcoded, accessioned, and batched, with AOE and consent captured at intake.

Run and validate

Analyzers return results both ways. Delta checks, QC, and TAT are tracked as technologists validate.

Review and release

Results are reviewed and approved, remotely if needed, criticals flagged, and reports dispatched to clinicians and providers.

Built for the realities of African labs

Accreditation-ready, offline-capable, multi-currency.

Works through outages

Offline-first sync keeps accessioning and result entry running when the connection or power drops, then reconciles automatically.

One record, no integration tax

The lab shares the same patient record as the chart and billing, so there is no separate LIS to license or interface.

HMO and multi-currency billing

B2B and credit billing handle referring clinics, HMO or insurance schemes, and multiple currencies out of the box.

Questions

What labs ask us first.

Do I need a separate LIS or LIMS?

No. Veona Labs is a full LIS and LIMS built into the same platform as the chart, billing, and stock. There is nothing separate to license, host, or integrate.

Which analyzers can you interface?

Veona supports two-way interfacing with hematology, chemistry, and other analyzers across vendors. Orders flow down and results flow back automatically, and interfacing is priced per integration rather than per machine.

Is it ready for accreditation?

Yes. QC and QC audits with full trails are designed to support ISO 15189 and local accreditation, alongside TAT tracking and critical-result management.

Can I run a reference lab and referring providers?

Yes. Provider and referral portals, B2B and credit billing with discount controls, commission tracking, and multi-location and reference-lab control are all included from one dashboard.
