What it is

An unsigned record is an unprocessed record.

Veona e-Sign gives every clinician, nurse, lab scientist, radiologist, and pharmacist a personal electronic signature, separate from their password and two-factor login. They set it on their first sign-in, and from then on it is how they attest to their work. Sign a note, a result, an order, a prescription, a discharge summary, or a birth or death certificate, and the platform records who signed it and exactly when, so the chart stays trustworthy. Until a record is signed, it cannot be finalised, released, or billed.

One signature, every module

Your e-Sign is universal and native, not a bolt-on for one screen. The same signature signs a clinical note in Chart, a verified result in Labs, a radiology report in Imaging, a dispense in Rx, a peri-op record in Theatre, and a certificate in Vital Records. Every team works the same way, and every signed entry carries the same accountability.

Accountability your auditors will love

Every signature is an immutable, attributed entry in the audit trail: which provider signed, which record, and the precise time. Administrators and quality teams can see at a glance that the chart is trustworthy, every entry signed and every signer accountable, and reviewers can confirm that what was signed is exactly what is stored.

Secure by design, simple to use

Your signature is private and yours alone, kept genuinely separate from your login password and two-factor authentication. A signing mistake never locks you out of the system, and changing your signature always requires you to re-confirm who you are. It stays effortless to sign, and impossible for anyone else to sign as you.

How it works

From first sign-in to a fully-signed chart.

Set your signature

On first sign-in, after your password and two-factor setup, you create your personal e-Sign. It is mandatory, so no record is ever left unsigned for want of a signature.

Sign your work

Finalise a note, verify a result, release a report, or dispense a medicine, and sign with your e-Sign. The signature binds to the record.

It is recorded

An immutable, attributed signature is written to the audit trail and the record is marked signed, ready to be released, reported, and billed.

It stays trustworthy

Because the signature is bound to the content, the chart stays verifiable: what was signed is what is stored, for every entry, by every signer.

Questions

What buyers ask about Veona e-Sign.

Is my e-Sign the same as my login password?

No. Your e-Sign is a separate, personal electronic signature, kept private and never shared. Your login password and two-factor authentication protect access to the system; your e-Sign attests to your clinical work.

Which records can be signed?

e-Sign is universal across the platform: clinical notes, lab results and reports, imaging reports, orders, prescriptions and dispensing, nursing and ward records, peri-op records, antenatal and delivery records, discharge summaries, referrals, and birth and death certificates.

What happens if someone signs incorrectly?

After several incorrect attempts, signing is temporarily paused, but the user is never locked out of the system itself. Signing resumes automatically after a short cool-off, so a slip never blocks care.

Can a signed record be quietly altered?

No. Each signature is bound to the record's content at signing time, so any later edit is detectable. The signature, the signer, and the exact time are written to the audit trail.

Make every record accountable.

Veona e-Sign is built into the platform. See it sign a real chart, end to end, on one record with the whole hospital.
